Hi everyone. I hope you're all getting ready for Christmas. It's only a few days away.
Well, I got my copy of "From the Horse's Mouth" in the mail today. I have to tell you (and Barbie, you should know I've talked to a LOT of people since Monday and they agree 100%) I feel the name should be "From the Horse's ASS". One guy did say he considered "From the Jackass", but decided there were more Jennys than Jacks LOL.
Anyway, getting back to the premier copy of "Ass", I started reading it, and the more I read, the more I laughed. The "newsletter" reminded me of the old Beach Bull I used to get in Panama City (and later had a subscription to). It brought back great memories of reading the bullshit in that newspaper (hence the name Beach Bull) and laughing until I had tears rolling down my cheeks and my sides were sore! That's the exact same thing I did today. Even Barbie can't keep her story straight!!!!!!!! In the meetings, they have been claiming the constitutional officers will be responsible for their own payroll as of January 1st (the day she releases the hostages!!!), but in the "Ass", she says, "We will continue to compile and complete payroll for the elected officials, but it will be done with some rules as to how it is compiled and completed." So which is it, Barbie? Do YOU even know? I highly doubt it!
I see she also has an article in here about the probation dept., in an attempt to call Mr. Lavon Cook a liar. Now I don't know about you, but the timing alone makes me believe Mr. Lavon more than her. Well, the timing along with everything else I've found out about the two individuals in the last three years. Barbie spoke at the First Friday Breakfast (knowing full well Mr. Lavon, Glenda and the Sheriff would not be allowed to offer a rebuttal since she wasn't even on the schedule) on September 4, 2009. On September 30, 2009 (only 26 days later), Mr. Lavon had his rebuttal printed in the Miller County Liberal, complete with numbers to back him up. It took Barbie another 2 1/2 months to come up with numbers to rebut what he had said. I don't know about you, but if someone had printed an article with numbers that I believed were false, and I had numbers to prove it, it would not have taken me that long to print them!!!!! ESPECIALLY when she has had advertisements and a letter in that same newspaper since September!!!!!! It all smells just a little fishy to me. Just my opinion, but it does.
I hope everyone enjoys the laughter you will probably get from reading the newsletter. In the times we live in here in Miller County, where we have HIGH taxes (even the QB admitted this in her article), mostly because of those overly high salaries certain hand-picked county employees receive, we do need a laugh. I think I'll go read mine again and get a few more chuckles before the Cowboys/Saints game.
Oh yeah, one more thing... I understand Barbie has already said she is running for re-election. I told ya'll when I reported what she'd said ON CAMERA and ON RECORD in the meeting that she was lying!!!!! She knew when she said it she was lying, (as usual) and so did I. Doesn't surprise me one bit.
Merry Christmas to everyone. God Bless us all. We're gonna need it!

Thank you all
This will probably be my last post for the day. I just wanted to say a great big THANK YOU for all the encouraging words and emails I've gotten today. They meant a lot, especially the hillarious ones that made me laugh. It makes it all worth it when I know I have people out there who appreciate it and support me. I did want to say how much I appreciated one in particular. R.C. I haven't laughed that much in a long time! I totally agree!
Now, just to keep the county bullshitters from taking all the space today, I wanted to update you on a few of the illnesses around town. From what I heard today, Ms. Mary Ethel Johnson, Mr. Joe Sloan and Mr. Jack Nicholson were all doing better and expected to come home today or tomorrow. Ms. Betty Jo Toole, Mr. Edwin Atkinson and Mr. Dan Fulford are still not doing good from what I hear. They all need our prayers. Also Mr. Milton Houston isn't doing well. Of course I also ask that you continue to pray for my sister, Brenda, and her son and my friend Pam's mom. They all appreciate it a lot.

LMAO
Well I see it didn't take long for the Barbie loonies to start putting the spin on the truth! Apparently I "attacked" a child. PLEASE! This is the last time I will address this, but I in no way attacked her. If anything, I was attacking Barbie (which isn't exactly a fair fight since she does so much stupid stuff to be attacked for). I merely mentioned her to get my point across as to why Barbie and the Idiots may be pulling one of their stupidest stunts to date!
In any event, if you want to believe the spin, then go for it. After working at BSH, I have learned not to argue with people like Barbie. I just keep voicing my opinion, updating the public on what goes on at the meetings, and let them eventually bury themselves. Enough said!!!!

An Update
At the risk of being threatened again, (some people will go to great lengths to hide the truth), I wanted to give a quick update to the SRO situation. Apparently Barbie and the Idiots have decided that they will pay half Melanie's salary until the end of the school year. Hmmmmmm sounds like they are trying to protect their asses from the inevitable lawsuits that will be coming their way (and from what I've heard parents say, they will be filed against the INDIVIDUAL, not the county). I don't think half the salary is going to do it though.
As a result of their providing only half the salary, the BOE has decided to put Rollin back as a bus driver, and pay the other half of Melanie's salary. This will still mean there will only be one SRO for the entire school.... where all students are in the same building..... from kindergarten to 12th grade. Boy I'll bet the parents are feeling really good about this. Lawyers, get ready! You're gonna be inundated with clients!!!!! Children, I would suggest you all learn karate. You may need it to protect yourselves. Oh yeah, and make sure you wear a bullet proof vest! Think I'm being silly? I'll bet the parents of those kids killed at Columbine didn't think it would happen to them either. Think about it!
Oh yeah, one other thing..... Just wanted to let all the commissioners know our camera was rolling the entire time tonight... Including when you were all in the back room.... Picked up some INTERESTING comments. Think about it and I think you might know what I'm talking about.

Today's Thoughts
I hope everyone is having a great holiday season. I know it's a tough one for some of my dear friends and family since they have lost loved ones this year through death or other events. Hang in there guys and know I am here if you want to talk. I'm not nearly as bad as some people would have you believe! LOL
We have several people who need prayers. My sister, Brenda, is the main one on my list. She and her son, Johnny both are dealing with health issues. Also Janet once again is in a crisis and needs prayers. And of course everyone here knows Jack Nicholson. Please pray for them. I talked to Ms. Jackie the other night, and she said he is very weak. He isn't doing well at all and needs all the prayers he can get. He did some good things for this county when he was on the BOE. Last on my list for today is a dear friend of mine, Pam Giancaspro and her family. Her mother recently had a stroke, and the prognosis is not good at all. People here know Pam's husband Rick as the lead singer for Clutch. He's the bearded guy who sang with Buttercup as the Righteous Brothers. He and Pam mean a great deal to our family.
Now, on to what's going on here in Hell Town. We are now only a couple of weeks away from Christmas, and 3 weeks away from New Year's Day. New Year's will be a wonderful day for Miller County this year from what I'm hearing, hopefully to be followed by an even better day near the end of 2010 when we will HOPEFULLY put some garbage out on the curb for pickup! We have several people who seriously need to go home in 2010 (2 from the county commission and 2 from the BOE), so let's keep our fingers crossed that the people will actually do the right thing and SEND THEM PACKING! Of course, we know Barbie isn't running, since she has already said she wasn't (and we know she would NEVER lie!!!!), so that's a good start.
Speaking of Barbie, I guess you heard Barbie and the Idiots have in effect fired Melanie Diamond as SRO. After sitting there, talking out of one side of their mouths and saying they weren't trying to tell the elected officials who to hire and fire, they turned right around and out of the other side of their mouths cut out the SRO hired by the county! Have they forgotten the tragedies that have occured in other schools? Columbine as an example? Do they want the same thing to happen here? I guess none of them care because most of them don't have children going to school here. God help the children of this county. The "leadership" doesn't give a shit about their safety. I have a feeling the lawsuits are already being written.
That's it for today. Hoping Scanner Lady will come back on the scanner and tell us how she feels about some of these things. I miss hearing from her. Anybody who will tell the truth about the totally incompetent fools we have ruining everything is OK in my book! I am one of her biggest fans (and yes that means in stature as well as admiration LOL).
Will try to do better about updating. Been busy, but since everyone keeps asking me to update I am going to do better. I promise.... I think LOL
Bea Johnson (aka by several as "I wish that Bitch would move already")
Note: I got an email from Barbie, threatening me with a lawsuit earlier today if I didn't take this post down. I did not take it down, but I did edit it. NOT BECAUSE I AM INTIMIDATED IN ANY WAY, but because I refuse to bring myself down to her level. When someone asks me to correct something, I consider it, and if I feel it is a resonable request I will do it. I do not turn it around on the person who asks me to correct something and blame it on that person. I have removed mention of children simply because they cannot be blamed for the actions of their family members, but today's post still has the same meaning behind it. It is still stupid to fire an SRO, especially after saying you were not trying to control the sheriff.

I'm back
It's been a while since I've posted, and I apologize for that. Lots and lots has been going on, so I figured (especially since I've had everyone from my sister in Canada to county employees ask me to update) that it was time to comment.
First of all, let me say if you haven't heard the recent comments on the police scanner, then it's a big loss on your part! We have a new heroine (I love this woman!) who comes on the scanner from time to time and tells the bare bones truth! I've heard that Barbie and Cory have nearly had strokes a couple of times, so she obviously is doing something right. Scanner Lady, keep doing what you're doing, and do it more often. Tell it like it is! We need more people like you in this God forsaken county. It might actually be livable.
Did everyone get their tax bill Saturday? I talked to one woman who said her husband nearly had another heart attack when he opened theirs. I told her she should send the bill to Barbie if he has one. It is totally ridiculous how high our taxes are in this county, especially since we get NO services that would justify it. Seems like there's something fishy going on at the building on Cuthbert St. and the other one on West St. We need an INDEPENDENT audit (not a CPA hand-picked by Barbie and Carol). It proves to me that they know they are wrong when they make SURE the bills are received on Saturday, when the office is closed for 2 days. They didn't want people to have a chance to come attacking LOL
In case you haven't heard the latest, the city, county, school and hospital are getting together and sending a "newsletter" to each and every address, whether you have a PO Box or a physical address. This after they have all said repeatedly that we are broke! Can you imagine how much the postage fee will be for this? The only reason they are doing it is to give themselves a forum to write their lies. I have named this "newsletter" Barbie's Bullshitter. I swear she looks for any way she can to spread her lies. We need to get her out of office and fast. Speaking of which.......
Have you heard what Barbie said at the October meeting of the County "Commissioners"? She said she isn't running for re-election! Let me repeat that.... Barbie Womble says she's not going to run for another term as "commissioner"! You know what? That is such good news, it bears repeating for a third time. BARBIE WOMBLE SAYS SHE WILL NOT RUN FOR RE-ELECTION!!!!! Now, that being said, I agree it would be TERRIFIC news, if I believed it. You all know how much of her hot air I believe, however. I think she lies every time she breathes. I will say this much though... I still have the video recording where she said this. IF she does run for re-election, it will prove what I have said all along about her... She's a LIAR! I know she craves that power, but she should know if she does run, it will validate everything I've said. I will be watching to see what she does. If she runs, she's a liar... If she doesn't, it will be great for the county.
Our gem of a 911 director has really stepped in the poop this time, folks. His right hand man fired one of the best dispatchers we've ever had on Friday. Watch for some interesting developments on this front, as the gears are already turning to turn this into a positive outcome for the dispatcher and the entire county. I back the dispatcher 100%, and want him and his family to know I am here to help if there's anything I can do. He was treated badly, and it is a shame that our 911 center is being used in this fashion.
Well, that's it for today. If Scanner Lady is reading, please step up your broadcasts. You do a great job, and I look forward to hearing you. The fact that Barbie, Cory, the "mayor" and Craig hate your statements is an indication that you need to step them up. It proves you are doing something wonderful!
More to come, including those meeting reports I've been promising for a while. Sorry it's taking so long, but it takes a while when your subjects mumble! LOL

Probation Figures
I have heard lots of rumors lately of "The probation department has brought in over $100,000 in probation fines already", and "It was closer to $29,000 in actual probation fees without all the other stuff added that had nothing to do with probation", so I decided to get the information for myself. I went to the clerk of court's office (you know, the person Jennifer is supposed to turn all those probation fines over to) and got the figures for myself. Here is what I got.
STATE COURT
January...........$15,348.95 from the sheriff's office, $8,832.60 of this was the county's
February.........$0.00 turned in
March..............$0.00 turned in
April................$5,484.99 from the sheriff's office, $3,094.43 of this was the county's
$2,550.96 from the probation department, $1,769.35 was the county's
May...............$2,029.00 from the probation department, $1,269.99 of this was the county's
June..............$2,309.58 from the probation department, $1,522.36 of this was the county's
July...............$11,409.42 from the probation department, $6,616.65 of this was the county's
August..........$2,948.13 from the probation department, $1,978.11 of this was the county's.
For State Court, the total collected by the probation department is $21,247.09
SUPERIOR COURT
January.........$90.00 from the sheriff's office, none of this was the county's
February........none collected
March............none collected
April..............$56.00 from the sheriff's office, none of this was the county's
May..............$645.00 from the probation department, $376.25 of this was the county's
June.............$224.00 from the probation department, $71.00 of this was the county's
July.............$197.00 from the probation department, none of this was the county's
August.......$214.59 from the probation department, none of this was the county's
Total Superior Court collected by Probation Department...........................$1,280.59
In partial payments, I was given the following information:
From 1/01/08 - 12/31/08 $58,756.54 in criminal partial payments were collected (by our sheriff's office, since the probation department hadn't yet been made) for State Court. $36,413.32 of this was the county's.
From 1/01/07 - 12/31/07 $84,582.33 in criminal partial payments were collected (by our sheriff's office, since the probation department hadn't yet been made) for State Court. $47,019.78 of this was the county's.
I was also given a chart that breaks down all the fines collected by month. One of the items on this chart is probation. Plain as day, it says PROBATION. The amounts per month for Probation are as follows (and remember, it was April before the probation dept. started collecting).
March................ $1052.50 (Superior Court), $1,264.47 (Municipal Court)
April...................$200.00 (Superior Court), $1,553.25 (State Court), $1,525.50(Municipal Court)
May...................$206.50 (Superior Court), $2,396.32 (State Court), $3,040.40 (Municipal Court)
June..................$94.50 (Superior Court), $3,516.55 (State Court), $3,663.70 (Municipal Court)
July..................$368.00 (Superior Court), $2,707.96 (State Court), $3,320.42 (Municipal Court)
August.............$190.00 (Superior Court), $2,209.88 (State Court) $2,548.46 (Municipal Court)
Now, I know Barbie claims to be smarter than the universe, but by my calculations that does NOT add up to over $100,000! And Probation wasn't even collecting for part of this time period! Even if you add in the court fines collected during this time -Which have NOTHING to do with probation - ($55,400.77), the amount STILL doesn't come up to $100,000. The total with the court fines is $85,258.78. This is including AT LEAST $8,592.09 that was collected before April (when the probation dept. started collecting). No matter how you slice it, Barbie's claims do not add up! Either she's using some new math that comes out to different totals than the rest of us mortals are use to, or she's lying. I'll leave it to you to decide which.
Oh, and just for the record, if you'll look at the 07 and 08 totals, you'll see that Mrs. Fulford and Mr. Cook WERE turning the probation money in! How else would those figures be so high?

County Commissioners Meeting
Just wanted to let all of you know I haven't forgotten to post a report on last Thursday night's "meeting". I'm still going through the video, it's just taking a lot longer than I thought it would. Barbie and company mumble so nobody will hear them, so I have to listen to each little bit several times to figure out what they are mumbling about. Just another way they try to hide what they are doing. if I had destroyed this county like they have, I'd try to hide it too! Please continue to be patient with me. I'll have the report on here soon.

City Salaries
Today in the Miller County Liberal, our "mayor" said in his article, "Don't rely on the 'As You See It' column. Don't rely on the editorials from this newspaper. Don't rely on what you read in my column. Go ask. Go find out. Go to City Hall and ask for things that you are unsure about." Well we did that. We wanted to know for sure what certain people in the city and county were making, so we found out. It cost us dearly to find out for the county, but the city figures are "compliments of Cory Thomas", straight from the city clerk. I think you might be surprised and a little sickened at what some of these people are paid for their "services".

Once again, our law enforcement (who put their lives on the line) get shit on, so people like the golf pro can get a huge salary. This county and city desperately need to get their priorities in order!!!!

On the Right Track
I know now, without a single doubt, that I am on the right track with what I have been posting. How can I be so sure? Well, almost all the county employees have thanked me for posting the salaries and proving what they've been saying all along, Barbie, Judy, and the rest of the county commission are highly pissed (which is ALWAYS a great sign I'm doing the right thing), but most importantly, the Miller County nutcases have started the "Run Bea and Mildred out of town" bullshit again. Any time I hit on the truth (which Barbie NEVER wants told), they always start their little "We're going to run them out of town" talk. So, let me say this one more time for clarity: 1. We are already in the process of leaving (hoping to be GONE by the holidays). 2. We are NOT leaving because of any of you fools, but because we don't care to live in a county where there is nothing to do, no jobs, high taxes, gnats, and no local government. (oh yeah, and Barbie and the rest of the fools live here) 3. Even after we leave, we will STILL be taxpayers here until we sell our property. This means I will STILL be talking about our stupid "officials" and what they are doing to destroy this county. The ONLY way to shut me up is to pay us what we want for our property, and even then there are no guarantees. I know we live in Miller County, but I still have freedom of speech. Deal with it!
Now, on to other matters. There was a county "commissioners" meeting last night. I will have a full report later, but I did want to go ahead and let all of you know one thing that happened. Remember a few months ago when the probation job was created for Jennifer Moore, just because she's Barbie's cousin, and she didn't win the Clerk of Court election? Remember how the county spent lots and lots of money to renovate the old Tully's building for her? Remember how her husband, Andy Moore, abandoned his job as Road Dept. Supervisor and worked on the building for her? Well guess what? Last night it was announced they are moving her to the Health Dept. building! Yes, that's right! They are moving the mental health section out of Miller County (how ironic, since our county commissioners ALL need a mental evaluation), and moving her into the building. Apparently, they got tired of everyone seeing her do nothing but sit outside and smoke, so they are going to put her over there to try and hide it now. Or maybe Barbie is going to use her to spy on the Sheriff. Who knows at this point what Barbie is doing? She doesn't even know herself!
I will try to go through our video of the "meeting" this weekend, and get a full report of what happened very soon. They hate it when I do that! LOL I will say, I think this whole mess about Barbie blackmailing the elected officials and their employees (and stealing their hours and withholding benefits) is about to come to a head. Barbie is scared, as she should be. Should be fun to watch!!!!!

More County Figures
Most people have thanked me for putting the county salaries on here, and asked me for any other information I could gather (since our county commissioners seem to want to hide everything they can from the public). These figures were given to the people who attended the budget "hearings" a few weeks ago. It's broken down by department and is the proposed budget for 09-10. The information in parenthesis is the change (+ or -) from the year before, and the reason for the change.

Broadband Program..................$1,500 (-$6,000, reduced)
2006 Commission Deficit............$55,000 (-$11,000, reduced)
The figures that sicken me the most are the amounts given to the golf course, as opposed to the tiny amount given to the senior citizens center. These people have worked their entire lives, and deserve a place to go every day. If we can spend $20,000 on a golf course, then we can give more than $1,100 to this center. They had to practically beg for money to have their air conditioning fixed this year! Frankie, Barbie and the rest had better realize some of them are already in that age bracket, the rest are very close. I wonder how they'd feel if they were treated that way?
I also have some other county information that I am looking over and will share with you at a later date. And we have requested some information from city hall. It is time the public knew what was going on with their tax monies! Our taxes are the highest in this area and we need to do something about it! Any time I write or say something that upsets Barbie, Cory or most of the other city/county officials, I know I'm on the right track, since they have tried at every turn to hide what they are doing. I'm proud to say I am one person Barbie can't control or intimidate. This is my blog, and I control what goes on it. As I've been accused of doing twice in the last week, I'm "stirring it up"! Somebody needs to!

WOW!
Well it looks like my last post really woke up some sleeping dogs! Had several emails (thanks for all the positive comments and thank-you's) and some of them were NOT nice! I have laughed until my sides hurt at just how upset some people are because the truth is now out there for everyone to see. No matter how upset some people get, these figures will not come down. And any other information I feel the people should know will be posted as well. I will not be intimidated by anyone. My sister in Canada worries about me, because she knows what kind of idiots we have living here, I've told her I'll be fine, and I will. I love you Brenda! Thanks for worrying about me ;o)
Now, on to other topics. I see George Williams will once again be city councilman, since nobody else ran against him. I have feelings on this, but I will keep them to myself. No need saying anything until I see what he does this time around. It is disappointing to see our political offices simply being bought because people have been mentally, financially and emotionally beaten down to the point that they don't dare run for office. They just don't care anymore.
At least we'll have a race for the other council seat. Hopefully we'll get someone in there who is ready to make some changes. Even though they aren't in my district, I would love to talk to them. I have some questions I would like to get the answer to. I know I'm leaving (hopefully very soon), but until I do I am still a citizen of this town (no matter how much some people wish I'd just fall off the face of the earth) and I have a right to have my concerns heard. I just hope whoever gets this office is ready to stand up and fight. He will have to if he wants to make a difference.
By the way: It's now September and I haven't heard a word about when the "Festival of Southern Culture" will take place. Just wondering what's going on there. Could it be that there won't be one this year? Just asking!
Oh, and one more thing before I go. I understand Clyde made a statement at the last county commission meeting that Colquitt can't support all the restaurants we have, so he thinks the commission should start shutting some of them down. First of all, I don't believe they have that right or authority. If we are going to start shutting some of them down, shouldn't the ones he is associated with be the first to go? I would suggest to our "leaders" that it might be a good idea to keep their noses out of the private businesses unless they want to be sued individually. Of course the county would end up paying for their defense (like we almost had to do in another situation I can think of).
Well, That's it for this edition. Will be keeping my eyes and ears open. If anything else comes up in the crazy community we call Colquitt, I'll let you all know. I understand some people in the commissioner's office are vowing not to let us have any more information. If they want to fight with the State Attorney General's office over the Open Record Act, let them go right ahead. I've filed formal complaints before and I can do it again. If Barbie doesn't believe that, all she has to do is ask Danny Shephard.
Good night, folks!

County Salaries
I know I haven't posted in a while, but as I have found out, moving isn't for wimps and it takes a lot of time and energy.
My mother received some information from the county commissioners' office the other day that I think all county taxpayers should be made aware of. She had to pay for this information, and they didn't give it up willingly. Once you see it, you'll understand why. It is disgraceful how little some of the county employees are paid (while risking their lives), when compared to how much Barbie's favorites are paid for sitting on their backsides! Below you will find the names and biweekly amounts each employee was paid on 9/01/09.

Ronald Rentz.................$4335.00 (Pataula Juv)
Danny Shepard................$1333.33
Danny Sheffield..............$125.58
If you notice, the registrar, probation staff, county attorney and others aren't on the list. Either Barbie and crew are trying to hide this information, or they aren't sure what they pay them. OR (and this is evil but probably more accurate) in some cases they have no intention of paying them again, and therefore I hope the employee files a complaint with the dept of labor.
I know this will upset some people because their salaries are being posted. They are public information and there is no need for anyone to pay more than $11.00 like my mother had to do in order to get it. I ask you to please look at the salaries for Carol Newberry and Judy Powell (both hand-picked by Barbie). Compare them to the salaries of our deputies, who put their lives on the line to protect us every day. It's a disgrace!

What is going on?
I haven't posted in a few days because of some health issues. I have gotten several emails and calls about what went on with our board of uneducated this week, and I felt like I needed to comment.
First, I have a question for all of you: What is the only county in Georgia with NO city government, NO county government and NO board of education? Miller County of course! Oh, we have people in these areas, but they certainly aren't doing their jobs!
Now, as far as the fiasco that occured on Monday, can any of you really say you are surprised? Did you really think that Robbie Phillips and his "We're Perfect" choir would admit to a mistake? Or rather several mistakes? I knew the issue with Coach Renza Israel was bad, but I had no idea it was as bad as it actually was. For the superintendent to use the criterion of the person who earns the most as a reason for being let go, that was automatically saying those who had the most experience (the oldest) would be dismissed. This is textbook age discrimination and ILLEGAL! On top of this, when Mr. McIntosh had called Coach Israel into his office the day before he received the RIFF notice, and told him he (McIntosh) was recommending that Robbie Phillips fire him (Israel), I find it hard to believe that it's a coincidence that Coach Israel was let go the very next day! Bottom line: Coach Israel was targeted, while relatives of the superintendent and BOE members were somehow allowed to keep their jobs. I have a feeling this is going to end up in court with civil cases, and I can only hope Coach Israel and the others are kind when they sue. Everyone should call the people who made the decision to unjustly fire the teachers and thank them when your taxes go even higher to pay for a settlement. Ask them what were they thinking???? I'm sure they'd love to hear from you!
On to other topics, I'm happy to report that Janet made it through her surgery just fine. She was back home before lunch. Dan is asking for prayers to continue for Angela. It's not looking good at this point, and they need a miracle. We know they still occur!!!! Also, please keep Brenda in your prayers. She has a lot of health issues, and I know she would appreciate them. My entire family would.

Random thoughts
Just wanted to add a new name to the list of friends with health issues. Janet, my friend from Texas is having heart surgery Monday morning to replace the battery in her pacemaker. For most people this would be minor surgery, but with the heart disease she has, it's a major deal. She almost died the last time they did this, so she needs lots of prayers.
Have been packing a few things today. Seems like it's a never-ending process, because it never fails that as soon as you pack something, someone in the house needs to use it!!!!! We've gotten most things ready to go, but there are still some closets we haven't touched in the old house, and some things here in the trailer yet to be put into boxes. I've been bringing things over here to sort through since it's so hot! If anyone needs something, let me know. Chances are, we have it somewhere in the junk from the last 60+ years!!!! Hoping to have a huge moving sale soon and get rid of some of the stuff we no longer need.
I was sitting here last night, just thinking of the years we've lived here, and all the friends we've made. All three of us have lived her our entire lives. I grew up in the block house next door. There are some good people here, and I'm going to miss some of them very much. It's a shame that the "leadership" of this community has made it so unbearable that the majority of the citizens would pack and move if they were in a position to do so. We would have left even sooner if we hadn't had a mortgage that had to be paid off first. You know, we go to Panama City, and people ask where we live. Almost without fail when we tell them, the first thing they say is they have heard about Swamp Gravy. Then most people will say they've heard about the problems we're having here, and they offer their condolences. It's really bad when members of my extended family who live on the BEACH side (not 1/4 mile from the water) call every year to brag that their property taxes are lower than the property taxes here! It's just not right, and it's going to cause Miller County to be a ghost town before long. People can't afford to keep paying, and so you will soon see a huge percentage losing their properties to tax sales. So very sad. We have the beginnings of a great community, with people who really care for the mostpart. We just have a few very bad apples, who happen to be in control (ie county commissioners, city council, BOE, mayor and city manager). They let a little power go to their heads, and think they are bigger than life. And what's even sadder is the same people are re-elected time and time again. I'm just glad we're finally getting out. Hopefully people will wake up and make changes before it's too late.
That's all I have for today. Time to get back to packing! Will also have a new URL for my personal website soon and will post it here. Huge Clutch section planned, complete with an alumni section, and of course tributes to our three guardian angels. Oh, and one more thing.... Please don't drink and drive. If you don't believe it can and will change lives, just think of Brandon and Harmony. Two young people gone forever because of someone else's stupidity.

Hello and Welcome!
Hi everyone and welcome to my new blog. Those of you who know me, know I have had a blog in the past on my business website, but I decided to start over and do it right this time. I will still be talking about what's going on in the town I live in (Colquitt, GA), but I will also be talking about my friends, family, and the place I love most in the world, Panama City, FL. I hope to be moving there very shortly (or at least near there), and will be keeping everyone updated on the fun, fun, fun job of moving.
To start off, I wanted to let everyone know we have narrowed the search for a new home down to about 3 or 4 addresses! We are going back down on July 29th, and there may be another or two listed before then, but for now we do have it narrowed. Our very dear friend (my brother of the heart) Ron was kind enough to tell us about a house his Dad has for sale, and we really love it! We also have looked at a doublewide in Youngstown, and some properties in Fountain. I will keep you all posted, and hopefully will have an address for everyone soon! I am ready to get out of this place!
Please remember to keep some very dear friends of mine in your thoughts and prayers. Dan Stone's wife, Angela is in the hospital in Dothan undergoing treatment for leukemia. She needs all the prayers she can get. Also, Mitzy Tedder is having radiation again. And a good friend of mine in Albany, Bill Baker, had surgery yesterday for blocked intestines. Pray for him as well. Last, but certainly not least is my dearest friend in the entire world, and my sister in every way that matters. Brenda needs lots of prayers, if for no other reason than she has to put up with me on a daily basis! She also has some serious health issues. Brenda, I love you and hope you are completely well soon!!!!!!!!
I'm not even going to comment on the things going on politically in Colquitt today. I am having a good day, and will not dampen it by mentioning those who don't need to be thought of. Maybe tomorrow I'll be more in a mood to discuss it. I will close by wishing everyone a great day and good health. See you tomorrow!
